New Zealand Culture
New Zealand has an historically unique culture. The culture of its indigenous Māori people affects the language, the arts and even government. Their place in the South Pacific, and their love of the outdoors, sport, and the arts make New Zealanders and their culture unique in the world.New Zealanders can be found in most parts of the world as they are born travellers.Most young kiwis venture off to places like London ,Europe etc in there twenties and thirties.
Maori culture plays a big part on the New Zealand landscape.When European settlers started interracial relationships with Maori back in the 1840s the culture of New Zealand started to take shape.Today its very common to find small amounts of Maori blood in a large number of the population.This heritage can be traced back 160 years and is culturally unique only to New Zealand.
Modern Culture
New Zealand leads the world in lots of areas inluding technology,sports,entertainment,film.For a small country of only 4 Million people New Zealanders have gone to the world and taken the mentally known locally as the "number 8 wire mentality".What this means is they will take on anything big or small.They are not scared to try anything.They love success and can be found at the top of most sporting professions in the world.Including Rugby,Rugby League,Soccer,Cricket,Swimming,Kayaking,Canoeing just to name a few.
This country is proud of its heritage ,proud of its people and proud of its international acheivements.
