New Zealand is a country situated in the south west of the Pacific Ocean It consists of two large islands called the North Island and the South Island.A smaller Island off the bottom of the country called Stewart Island and many other smaller islands dotted around the country. The most notable of these being Great Barrier Island and Waiheke in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf. New Zealand is also known as Aotearoa in the Native Māori language, or the Land of the Long White Cloud in English. New Zealand is isolated from Its nearest neighbour and ally,Australia which is situated to the northwest and separted by the Tasman Sea, and is approx 2,000 km (1,242 mi) away. Geographically our closest neighbours are to the north ( New Caledonia, Fiji and Tonga.) The population of New Zealand is mostly of European descent, with Māori being the largest minority. Non-Māori Polynesian and Asian peoples are also significant minorities, especially in the larger cosmopolitan centers and cities.
Officially, Elizabeth II is the Queen of New Zealand and is represented in the country by a non-political Governor-General; however, the Queen has no real political influence and hasnt done for many many years. Political power is held by the Prime Minister who is leader of the Government and resides over a democratically elected Parliament.

We grew tired of guidebooks, pamphlets and websites that gushed about the seemingly never-ending wonders of visiting New Zealand but provided no real behind-the-scenes or in-the-trenches insights. We weren't interested in the pabulum tourists are fed, we wanted hard information on actually living, working, investing and doing business in New Zealand. We looked and looked, and guess what? It simply didn't exist in any one place. So we decided to do our own research, create our own reference library and put together a network of contacts that could provide answers to even the toughest questions. That was several years ago. Now you can benefit from this extensive experience and massive resource at a fraction of the normal price.
"This report has answered the majority of all of our questions about New Zealand in one go. Hours of searching the web will not give you this kind of information, and will save you time, money and worry." |
